An article looking at why Americans are suddenly eating less meat. Also, Americans eat, on average, half a pound of meat a day. Gross.

A tearjerker that left me ugly crying at my desk. It’s about a woman who found love again while managing to honor her marriage vows after her husband gets very sick. Even though you want a happy ending where the husband gets better and everything goes back to normal and is great life doesn’t work like that. It’s nice to see that even though life doesn’t always end up how we imagined it doesn’t mean there aren’t happy endings.

A look at how all the various websites came together to protest sopa. And they say that social media is unproductive!

How piece on how broadway learned to embrace Hollywood. Even just a few years ago there tended to not be a lot of overlap in productions for fear of movies stealing away audiences because producers figured no one would want to pay $75 for something you can see in theaters for $12?. But War Horse and other productions have proven that conventional wisdom wrong leading more shows to approve big screen productions.

Profile on Shia Labeouf that makes him come off like a guy with a really rough childhood who ended up becoming a total douche. Carey Mulligan was too good for you. Most notable was him bragging about knocking out Tom Hardy to which Hardy responded,
-
“I got knocked out by Shia LaBeouf, actually. In Wettest County, apparently. Behind the scenes. No, he did. He knocked me out sparko. Out cold. He’s a bad, bad boy. He is. He’s quite intimidating as well. He’s a scary dude. He just attacked me. He was drinking moonshine. I was wearing a cardigan, and er, went down. I woke up in Pnut’s arms. [Pnut is Hardy’s personal trainer.] He was concerned for me. I was like, ‘What was that? It was lightning fast.’ And he said, ‘That was Shia.’ I said, ‘Fuckin’ hell. Can we go home now?’ ‘No, we’ve still got three weeks to finish.”

- Can Tom Hardy be on a magazine cover already?? He’s infinitely funnier, rougher, more interesting and has a much better resume to boot.

Manning finally talks about what is going on with the colts and kind of breaks my heart in the process. Obviously, I want him to play for the next year or so as Andrew Luck develops but if he is released [oh dear god I cannot even imagine living in world without #18 behind center] I so hope he doesn’t retire!

Lara Logan discussing the after affects of her sexual assault. While most journalists are loathe to discuss their personal lives I find it inspiring that Logan is so open with everything she has been struggling with.
