I like that tree of life was nominated. melancholia would have been better
really? extremely loud & incredibly close was nominated for best picture? really??
seriously, I can think of a good 10 moves better than that piece of crap. like crazy! warrior! melancholia! young adult! 50/50! drive! really, just about anything. all rage aside, I am completely baffled that given this year’s rules that particular film was loved enough to be ranked #1 by enough people to land a nomination. ugh.
I had accepted that michael shannon was probably not going to get a very deserved nomination but no Michael fassbender either?
no young adult nominations anywhere? no charlize theron? no patton oswalt? no best original screenplay?
I really like jessica chastain so I am just happy she was nominated for something and that the something was not tree of life because that would have been indulgent
I am torn about terrence malnick getting a best director nod
most of the nominations were really predictable and boring
